Exercise 4

The plot Exercise04_1.pdf still seems to have satisfactory energy, but the orbit near perihelion (closest approach to sun) is clearly not correct. It seems the time steps are too big where the satellite is moving quickly.

Plot Exercise04_2.pdf uses the same parameters, but with a 10 times smaller time step. In this case the orbit looks fine as does the energy.

Plot Exercise04_3.pdf uses a velocity larger than the Earth's velocity and gives the expected elliptic orbit.

Plot Exercise04_1.pdf uses a velocity greater than the velocity for a closed orbit so we get the expected hyperbolic orbit.
