I’m Professor Emeritus of Physics at Colorado College. Although I recently retired (2024) and have emeritus status, I still teach an occasional course. You can learn more about my professional career on my personal page on the Colorado College website. I grew up in Wyoming and love spending time outdoors camping, skiing, climbing, trail running… I’m also a Ski Host at Winter Park Resort. Come and take a tour with me sometime.
I’m also an aspiring blues guitarist and volunteer time with the Pikes Peak Blues Community. Hopefully I’ll see you at one of our concerts sometime. Someday, I might even gather enough courage to play publicly. I do have time to practice now.
I spent most of my research career waiting for photons to collect on some detector, so I’m also a photographer. More recently, my subjects have been at smaller distances, but I still like to take photos of the cosmos when I can. Check out my photography website to see some of my images.
